Botrychium ascendens
During work for the Whistler Biodiversity Project, two rare species were found for the first time in the Whistler area by Adolf and Oluna Ceska.
Upswept moonwort (Botrychium ascendens) is a red-listed moonwort (a type of fern) found on Whistler Peak.
Swamp muhly (Muhlenbergia glomerata) is a blue-listed grass found in the Whistler Wildlife Refuge.
