This path is a very similar path to that of the Broadway station start point least cost path in that this route follows the existing Expo Skytrain line until the very close to the Broadway Skytrain station. It then very much follows a very similar path running parallel, but slightly off the Broadway corridor until moving north at down to West 4th Ave and following it along. This route, just like the Broadway least cost path, is beneficial for commercial areas along Broadway and West 4th and the majority of this line falls into Translink's current study area along the Broadway corridor as well as bring users closer to tourist attractions like beaches and Granville Island. This path is unlikely to be expanded upon because in essence it really starts the trip across Vancouver at Broadway Station anyway making it more or less the same route as already illustrated. The total cost for this route is 636,234.9. This is the second most expensive route of all the proposed routes to UBC.

This Path intersects the buffered areas of five community centers and four libraries, the same amount as the Broadway cost path does. This path has the potential to bring the same amount of accessibility to these community assets as the Broadway least cost path does.

The shortest path between UBC and Nanaimo Skytrain station cuts across the city and would like serve a wider range of residential communities as it traverses across Vancouver. Unfortunately this route does not effectively follow any major bus routes but does intersect every major bus route which could provide easier and faster movement for students who transfer from North/South buses to buses running East/West. These intersections of major bus routes and this proposed line allows for more empty buses or even a reduced number of buses that run East/West across Vancouver but does not remove the need from them completely. This route also does not follow or allow easy access to any commercial area that may benefit from users besides students unlike starting at Broadway or Main Street Skytrain stations allow for. This routes total cost is the most expensive at 707,437.3. This is likely due to the amount of residential areas that this route must cut through.

This path, just like the Broadway shortest path, cross through the buffers of three community centers and four libraries. This lack of differentiation between the Broadway route and the Nanaimo Route show starting at Nanaimo is no more efficient nor does it increase the accessibility of anything more than the Broadway routes.
