Lab Time

There are no official lab times, however, room 115 and room 239 are computer lab rooms that you can use for your technical assignments. You will be required to use ArcGIS or Adobe Illustrator, or both for your technical assignments and final project.
Alternatively, you can use the computers in Koerner Library for ArcGIS (no Adobe Illustrator software) or you can purchase from forestry a $25 student version of ArcGIS.

Lab Fee

A $15 course fee will be collected at the first lab to cover some of the costs of running the computer lab (note this is 1/2 of the full course fee because there are less labs). You will also need to purchase some printing credits.

Readings

Every week there are readings to supplement the lectures and discussions. Most of these readings are available on-line and are found on the course schedule. There are a selection of books placed reserve in the Geography Information Centre. See the section on Resources for a GIC reserve reading list.
