UBC Geography 307

The objectives of Geog Biogeoscience 307 are:

To broaden and deepen students' understanding of biogeographical and ecological concepts
To show the application of biogeography in (a) understanding responses in ecosystems to environmental change at global, regional and local scales; and (b) conservation issues such as endangered species, habitat loss and the loss of biodiversity
To allow students to be able to critically assess the changes in ecosystems in response to global change and to develop skills useful in upper level courses in biogeography and ecology
