Spring Symposium
Geography Spring Research Symposium 2006 participants. The annual Geography Spring Research Symposium, now a tradition and requirement in the Department, is designed to allow Master's students in their second year to present their projects to the Department in a relatively informal environment. The idea is to provide an opportunity for constructive feedback to those who are in the process of writing their theses. It also allows members of the Department to gain an appreciation of the breadth of research being conducted here.
Friday, April 29th, 2010This year's Spring Symposium is on Friday, April 29th. Each presentation should be 20 minutes long (15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for discussion). If students have recently presented at the Home Seminars, they are still expected to give a talk at the symposium, even if it is an updated version of the Home Seminar. The symposium presentation will fulfill the requirement to present a research seminar to the Department. Tentative schedule: Spring Symposium 2011 |
