Spring Symposium

Geography Spring Research Symposium 2006 participants.

The annual Geography Spring Research Symposium, now a tradition and requirement in the Department, is designed to allow Master's students in their second year to present their projects to the Department in a relatively informal environment. The idea is to provide an opportunity for constructive feedback to those who are in the process of writing their theses. It also allows members of the Department to gain an appreciation of the breadth of research being conducted here.

The UBC Department of Geography is pleased to host students, faculty and guests on April 25th for the 2013 Graduate Student Symposium, room 200, Geography Building. Second-year master students will be presenting their latest research findings with opportunities for discussion and constructive feedback. Each presentation will take approximately 15 minutes with five minutes afterwards for questions.
