Cost of Living

Graduate school is a major investment in your future earning potential. Your expenses may include tuition, other fees, rent, utilities, food, books, phone service, transportation, clothing, and entertainment.

The UBC Faculty of Graduate Studies has developed a cost of living calculator to help prospective graduate students estimate the costs of their studies.  

The calculator highlights general categories of expenses you will have as a graduate student, including tuition fees for most programs. The calculator can only provide a broad approximation of what it might cost to live in Vancouver since everyone's life is unique, and therefore, costs will vary accordingly.
