“My research interests encompass invasion ecology, mathematical modeling and population and community ecology. For my Ph.D. research I will be developing models of spread of an invasive plant that take into account landscape heterogeneity and biotic interactions such as herbivory and pollination, coupled with population dynamics models. This combined approach will allow a deeper understanding of the invasive’s dynamics across space, in order to predict the speed of invasions. It will also provide information for management of the species through controlling spread as well as propose new theoretical questions in invasion ecology.”
