compiled by Hugh Griffith
This list represents birds seen since 1972, when the Nature Park was established. Many species are year-round residents, but some are found seasonally or during migration only. Please ask a park naturalist for advice when and where to see particular birds.
Each species name is followed by a symbol denoting abundance during the period in which the bird would normally be expected to occur in the Nature Park.
C (common) - almost always seen.
UC (uncommon) - seen often but not on every walk.
R (rare) - seen a few times a year.
VR (very rare) - not seen every year.
Please report additional or rare sightings to Nature Park staff to help keep this list current. Thanks.
