 The following checklist of the reptiles and amphibians of Richmond is compled from Richmond Nature Park records, and personal observations.  It does not represent a comprehensive compilation of historical records and museum speciemsn. Nomenclature follows Matsuda, Green and Gregory (The Amphibians and Reptiles of British Columbia).

There are two reports for this species from the Richmond Nature Park, which may represent natural occurrences, or possibly pet drop-offs in the park (Bauder pers. com. 2007). These are: 1) from the mid 1980's; and 2) 1991, August 19.

Chrysemys picta Western Painted Turtle Richmond Nature Park (Griffith pers. com. 2007), Sturgeon Banks (last sighting 2001)
Hylla regilla Pacific Tree Frog Richmond Nature Park, Sturgeon Banks, Iona Island
Rana catesbeiana American Bullfrog* Garry Point, Richmond Nature Park.

Thamnophis elegans Western Terrestrial Garter Snake South arm of Fraser, along dyke; Iona Island
