This webpage presents the GIS component of my M.Sc. thesis proposal. GIS is used to design a stratified random sampling scheme for site selection. Sampling will take place in forest stands stratified across elevation and aspect gradients of the Darkwoods (Figure 1), a property owned by the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
