Conclusion
Given
the limited results of this analysis, I am unable to perform random
stand selection and plot placement procedures as was initially
anticipated. With a desire to sample from 36 stands, and with only
three of the six strata meeting the minimum requirement for number of
stands, I am unable to determine locations for field sampling prior to
the start of the field season, anticipated to be May 17. Therefore,
future analysis will be performed in the field, whereby verification of
stand structure and composition will be performed through visual
inspection within watersheds. The preliminary stand selection results
will be used as a guide to seek out watersheds most likely to exhibit
suitable characteristics.
