Objectives
The goal of this
study is to establish a population of forest stands within the
Darkwoods property from which I will
obtain samples.
GIS is used as a
tool for site stratification and selection. Stratifying sites
will allow me to statistically address the following
research questions:

differ by aspect (Northeast vs. Southwest)?

Does fire frequency differ by elevation?
Anthropogenically-Induced

Does fire frequency differ between the historic fire regime (Pre

Settlement) and the periods of Euro-American Settlement and/or Modern
Fire
