Please join us on April 3 12:30 – 1:45 pm in GEOG room 229 for a colloquium with Michiel van Meeteren.
Following Peter Gould’s advice that a geographer should always resist specialization, Michiel’s research agenda covers urban, economic, financial geography and the discipline’s post-1945 history. After studying human geography in Amsterdam (BA, MA) and Ghent (PhD) he currently is a postdoctoral researcher in Brussels. He is particularly interested in how the different traditions of human geographical praxis can be integrated in a contemporary disciplinary and transdisciplinary critical social science.
