Kees is an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at UBC’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. He holds degrees in planning, urban design and landscape architecture. Prior to joining SALA in 2014, Kees taught at Washington University in St. Louis and the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is the founder of Parallax Landscape, a collaborative and interdisciplinary design and research platform that explores design challenges related to water and food shortages, depleting energy resources, climate change, and ongoing urbanization.
