About

Dynamics of sea surface temperature change and its impacts on marine ecosystems

Supervisor: Dr. Simon Donner

Degrees:  M.Sc., working on Ph.D.

Entry Date:  September, 2017

Expected Graduation Date:  September, 2021

“I grew up in the Chinese coastal city of Qingdao, and moved to Canada to attend graduate school. I spent two years in the department of Geography at Simon Fraser University, completing my Master’s degree using the University of Victoria Earth System Climate Model (UVic ESCM) to project marine climate change impacts and explore the reversibility of the ocean responses. For my PhD, I will work on observations of sea surface temperature globally and continue working with the outputs of GCMs and further analyze the impacts of these changes on marine ecosystems.”
